ADV DN Series DVR Card : Remote View Configuration
This Topic about the ADV DN Series DVR Card remote view configuration.
 

Step 1: Computer Configuration
: You need to set an fix IP Address to your computer.
- Go to "Start" > "Control Panel" > "Network Connection" > right click "Local Area Connection" >
  "Properties".
- Select "Internet Protocol(TCP/IP)" > Click "Properties".
- Select "Use the following IP address".
- IP Address: 192.168.1.100
- Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
- Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1
- Preferred DNS server: 202.188.0.133
- Alternate DNS server: 202.188.1.5
Check your current IP Address Here
 
Step 2: Computer Configuration
: You need to close your Windows firewall.
- Go to "Start" > "Control Panel" > "Windows Firewall".
- Select "Off(not recomended)", and click "OK".
 
Step 3: Register Register Dynamic DNS Service
: You need a Dynamic DNS service to update your dynamic IP address.
Select one of the service:
» DynDns.com
» No-IP.com
 

Step 4: Configuration of Router = Port Forwarding
: You need to configuring port forwarding on router to allow incoming application access your server.
Select on of the router & brand:
» D-Link Firmware 1
» D-Link Firmware 2
» D-Link Firmware 3
» Aztech Firmware 1
» Aztech Firmware 2
» Linksys Router

P/S: The ADV DN Series port number is:
: Port: 80
: Port: 8080
: Port: 8081
: Port: 8083
: Port: 8084
 
Step 5: Configuration of Router = Dynamic DNS
: You need to add the domain host you'd just created into router.
- Login your router, click on "Home" on top to back to Home.
- Select "Dynamic DNS".
- DDNS Server : Select "www.dyndns.org" (Select www.no-ip.com if you're using no-ip.com service)
- Username: DynDns.com or No-IP.com login username
- Password: DynDns.com or No-IP.com login password
- Hostname: Your registered domain hostname. (eg: someone.homeip.net)
- Click "Apply" to continue.
 
Step 6: Configuration of Router = Dynamic DNS
1. Select "Tools"
2. Select "System"
3. Click on "Save and Reboot " to commit your settings.
Now the remote surveillance are ready!
